Ways to Volunteer
We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to match your interest and availability for both youth and adults. When you volunteer with The Family Crisis Center you can expect to receive professional training and caring supervision from our outstanding team. Our goal is to assure you have the knowledge and skill to make a difference in others' lives. We can enlist the help of volunteers in Great Bend, Larned, or Pratt at any of our offices or shelters. But people can also volunteer by hosting a supply drive to gather much-needed supplies for our shelters! Read more about that below.

The Family Crisis Center also has a volunteer Board of Directors that represent different skill sets, backgrounds, and perspectives who help provide oversight for the operation, personnel, and finances of our organization. If you're interested in serving on our Board of Directors, be sure to let us know by filling out the form at the bottom of the page.

Host a Supply Drive
If your workplace, civic club, school, or church is looking for an easy way to make a BIG impact, hosting a supply drive for the hygiene products and household goods we use at our shelters is a great idea! Below is a list of some of the most common items we are always in need of, or you can call us to find out about specific need we might have at the time of your supply drive. Some people collect goods and products over a period of time, and others collect supplies as the "admission price" for an event they are hosting. Whatever you choose to do, the victims we serve would be forever grateful for your support.
ITEMS WE NEED:
Deodorant, Shampoo & Conditioner, Body Wash, Hair Spray, Hair Gel, Lotion, Hair Brushes, and Other Hygiene Products
Clothes Hangers, Bath Towels, Standard Sized Pillows, Laundry Baskets, Twin & Full Size Bed Sheets, and Shower Caddies
Gift Cards for Walmart and Dillons Stores
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. After your supply drive is over, simply contact us to arrange a time to drop off the donations. We'd love to take a photo with you and recognize your group publicly for your generous support of our organization and the victims we serve.
